What it is about my mousepad that makes it resemble a kitty bed? Did someone sneak up in the middle of the night to rub catnip on it?

It was me.

I had to do *something* while I was waiting around for you to let me sit on your lap.

That made my laugh so hard I snorted soda through my nose. Ow. And gross, yes. But still giggling. Okay, now my dog is eyeing me funny. She's not used to seeing me convulse. Don't have any idea why. ..

Because you need more cats. Then you'd convulse all the time, and your dog would get used to it.

Well, if I had cats I'd really be convulsing. Right before the sent me to the hospital. . . stupid allergies.

But your dog would be used to it!

Cats do what they want. There is no telling the cat it can't do something. It will do it anyway.

My cat used to sit ON the keyboard. While I was on the computer. Would sit on my hands. Had to learn to type around the cat, which is surprisingly easier than it sounds.

I've discovered that picking him up and dropping him to the floor.... about 4000 times, will eventually work.

My cat tares up the role of toilet paper I have sitting out. It's sitting on a flat surface in a place she never sits. Why does she want to tare it up? I have no clue why she does it. She tore up about half of one two times this week.

A) because it's something useful that you, the human, need, and b) because it's a toy that just never seems to run out of stuff to rip away. Oh look! Another layer!

Don't you know, any place that is inconvenient for you = cat bed.

So all I have to do is convince them it's *very* inconvenient for me to have them go lie down on the cat-tree...

considering that you constantly have your hand on your mousepad, it probably smells like you. Try rubbing it with something lemon-ish

That's, like.... constructive! Go to the corner. No constructive people allowed here! This is the complaining about cats room! ;-)

I must try that. Though I'm talking about when I'm there, trying to use it -- so unless I rub *me* with lemon to make me not smell like me, I suspect I'm doomed to failure on that score.

ups? *g*

well, in that case, it's probably because you shouldn't be on the computer, you should be cuddling with a cat!! Really. *stern look* The poor neglected kitten, just trying to be close to you...

What was wrong with your mousepad before, that it wasn't being used as a kitty bed? My cat adores sleeping on mine, preferably when I'm using it.
