So I said to myself, Self? you just got both upper wisdom teeth pulled three days ago, leaving you with a matching set of gaping (though painless) holes in your jaw. What would be the worst possible thing you could choose to eat right about now?

Self [thinks hard]: Microwave popcorn?

Me: Mmm! That sounds good!

I had some caramels not two days after I got my lower wisdom tooth pulled. Sometimes I think I make life purposefully harder than it has to be just to keep things interesting. That's TBD's theory anyway.

There may very well be something to that.

Which may be one of the more insane things about humanity in general.

Didn't really hurt, excepting that I scratched my gum with my fingernail while retrieving a popcorn hull. :)

DORK! Did you at least wash it out with the syringey thing they gave you?

Ha!

They did not give me a syringey thing!

Ha!

No, fingers were necessary.

Ewwwwwwwww. When I got mine out they gave me a syringy thing. But possibly that was also due to the way mine were taken out, now that I think about it. You might have had a different kind of hole left behind.

Did they give you that honking big syringe to squirt the trapped food out of your new toothless holes? I had all 4 wisdom teeth out a couple of years ago and had to use that thing for a long time. I was so afraid they'd never *not* be holes that I went back to the surgeon twice, where he basically rolled his eyes and told me to chill out. Yes, they got better. And you are so interested in this story, aren't you?

*g*

No syringe (see comment to thebratqueen) but actually, am the tiniest bit paranoid that they will never not be holes, so your testimony is very encouraging. :-D

Painless? How did you get that way? I had ... not funny... the two upper wisdom teeth pulled on monday, and it still hurts.

Of course, my doc said, no physical activity, and I said, yes, sure, and promptly walked two miles home on foot. So that could've been it.

Heh. Dunno! My gums are a little tender, but that's probably mostly from me contiually poking at them with my tongue. Overall though, jaws don't hurt at all.

Thankee! I had a great whopping bunch of BA icons before my old server went down and they all went poof. Now I've only a few left, that people who snatched when I posted them were kind enought to send back to me.
