Dear self: bed now. Yes, now.

Dear everybody else: Made new Fanged Four lj layout. Yes, after having had the previous one for a whole 3 weeks. I blame byrne, who is a component-pimping ho my lovely wyfe.

Granted I'll probably switch back to Old Married Giles and Spike in a bit -- the one obnoxious thing about component is that it takes forever to load, and if LJ is being remotely asshatty, component styles are the first to show it.

Dear self: I said NOW.

That'll do pig, that'll do.

Bad, naughty MP for staying up so late making wonderful horrible layouts of the fanged four! There shall be no spankings now!

In other news, how do you make the picture show up with a unique mood name like that?

Pick a picture where? Type in the mood where?

Use the drop-down mood menu to choose the mood whose picture you want to use -- then type in the words for your new, made-up mood in the blank box next to the drop-down menu.

(I believe there was some talk about this only working for people who have S2 styles. Not sure how true that is.)

Ahhh. Yeah, my LJ is based off of an s1 style, so no love for me there.

Nope, just tested and it still works for me even when i switch back to S1.

Did my instructions make sense before? Like, for this post, I chose "Exanimate" from the drop-down menu, then typed "dead parrot" in the "Other" box.

Huh. Okay. I'll have to play with it. I think I was getting a little thrown, too, because I usually use the Semagic thing to update. So took me a sec to figure out where the option to do both was coming from =)

Ah, yeah, I update from the web, so I don't know what the semagic interface looks like. (I do have a client, lochjournal, but the only thing I ever use it for is batch operations, like downloading my whole journal.)

I don't think I should tell you, since you won't spank me...

I just stole it from the component questions comm (which link I stole from your LJ) and took off the "frame=void" in order to get the borders back. :D

/me goes to get rid of that bit of code.

Aslo? I can't change my link font size. I tried hard coding it and it won't work. Whaaaaaaa!

*sniffle*

Er. I don't think it's actually *there* anywhere -- I just viewed source and copied it from the actual html for their journal page.

Not sure how to change the link font size. :(

I'd like to be able to change the Titlebar font size so that my y's and g's don't get cut off, but from the community it looks like you have to basically create an entire new titlebar component, building it from the ground up with code that makes my eyes swim.

Yeah, it's there, but taking it out made no diff. And yes to the title bar. Grrr.
