Nope, this is a spoiler for the *next* episode, not tonight's. Tonight's is ep 11.

So my jawdroppage is basically that a new spoiler has come to light that makes previous "yeah whatever, how lame" spoilers for next week's episode, take on a totally different hue.

(Everyone else is jawdropping all over my f-list at spoilers for ep15, ironically, which to me are new but not terribly shocking.)

My jaws are dropping over both sets of spoilers. I read 15's first, but just finished reading 12. Well, if that's the ending? It certainly explains the "Awakening" feel to the synopsis I read.

God, I love this show. But you knew that, right?

Hee! You and I so share a brain. I was calling the Awakening similarities as well. (Though must admittedly bitch if they do the same damn plotline yet again only one year after doing it the first time).

Wouldn't this plotline be "She was [spoiler] all along, but Angel's general impressions of what was occurring weren't deceiving him" vs. "Nothing was real" ?

Aside from a general deal of "Both Angel and the audience don't have the full picture until he end of the ep," how is this the same plotline as Awakening?

Or am I missing a piece of the spoilered plot?

Well the kick is we don't know what [spoiler] she is right now. We can only guess. But suffice it to say that an episode which involves Angel and his team of helping avengers saving the day via narrow escapes with ticking time clocks and mighty swordfights and obstacle courses that, though not hooked up to bells might as well be, which ends with the bad guy being vanquished in a stunning display of magic and is then followed with someone who has clearly had their head attacked by an egg beater bucking Angel up with rather implausible words of support given their actual characterization and then following up said implausible words with physical acts of spoilerdom reads a Hell of a lot like the exact same plotline to Awakening, complete with the exact same plot twist at the last two seconds.

So at which point I'm torn. Either I want it to be the exact same plot twist (ie "Angel was [spoiler]"), because otherwise the rest of the ep was kind of bruce in its Indiana Jonesdom, or I want the plot twist of "she was [spoiler] all along" because at least then it's original in the ending, if not the rest of the 45 minutes.

Somebody in, I believe, Min's journal suggested an option #3 of "Perhaps our plot twist model is more along the lines of 'Birthday' meets 'Hero' with a touch of 'Home'" which would make sense considering the title of the ep and all. Though I disagree with how similar they think the action of [spoiler] is.

And I realize this could have made much more sense if I said it all in email where we could actually talk specifics, but I had fun thinking of euphamisms. 8)

Hee!

I didn't really get a "Angel was [spoiler]" feel from the synopses/sides that I read; for one thing, if Angel was [spoiler] they would have to clean up all the things that did or didn't really happen, and explain everybody *else's* perceptions of what went on, and it seems like there's not time for that.

I was definitely reading it with a "She was [spoiler] all along" mindset though. Which granted makes the action plot highly camp, if it's all really happening, vs. the mindfuck that it was in Awakening.

Yeah, I'd rather at least some of it really happened, cheesy or no. Though option #3 of, let's say, making "Hero" and "I Will Remember You" have a baby is also an acceptable answer.

The Hero part I get, but not why they would choose to mate it with IWRY. (Despite the pretty babies that Doylekissage and nekkid Angel might make.) I don't understand what the rationale would be for doing [spoiler], then effectively undoing [spoiler].

But if they [spoiler] and then [spoiler] wouldn't that mean [spoiler]?

And I can't believe you forgot about the possibility of [spoiler] being [spoiler] considering that [spoiler] would in no way [spoiler] with [spoiler] while [SPOILER] was going on.
