In other news, Touching Evil = good. Creegan = Teh Hott.

(I actually have caught at least one installment of the Brit version, but it was long enough ago that I can't really remember any of the details or how much I liked it, beyond my general liking for most British police procedurals. This, though? Good stuff.)

Where can one find this British version? 'Cause we are now five episodes into the American one on USA, and I'm seriously liking it. It's portrayal of a head trauma case is dead on. (According to my husband, whose father and brother were in a serious car wreck resulting in brain damage for both, and what I've read as well.) And the Mulder/Scully vibe between Creegan and his partner, are well, the next best thing to new X-files episodes.

Re: Creegan........yay!

Series One and Two, at least, are available from the WGBH shop online - it showed on Mystery! in 2001-2003. Not sure about series 3's availability.

He's just so dementedly gleeful in his psychoses, isn't he? No edit button whatsoever.

I like Pruitt Taylor Vince's character as well, though I haven't caught the newest episode yet (USA will play it about 15 times before week's end, so it's all good), so I don't know if he's still around.

Yes, he's in this week's ep; he's quite entertaining and kind of endearing, though I'm a bit creeped out, having just seen him as a psychopath in Identity!

Big word. It's one of the few shows I curently watch. Creegan is such a mass of contrdictions.

I haven't had a lot of exposure to tv aside from Angel and reality shows (the redecoration sort) in the last couple of years, so picking up a new fandom is pretty high on my list of priorities now that the notgoingtohappendenialdenial is going to happen to Angel. Touching Evil looks like a good mental investment.

Series three of the Brit version of Touching Evil is out on DVD; NetFlix has it. It has the same moody vibe, but the British Creegan (at least in the two episodes I saw) lacked the humor of the American Creegan. The first series is upcoming on DVD, according to

I've been faithfully watching the show, mostly for Creegan, though (sigh). The plots? Meh.

Yes, the Brit version was unrelentingly dark, from what I remember, with not a lot of quirk to pick it up -- but I think I only caught maybe 1.5 eps.

I am becoming... no, have become addicted to the show. Creegan and Branca and Cyril and Swopes - I'm watching each episode two or three times. I need to get some videotapes and record them!

So far I've only caught one - but it was enough to make me note down the need to tune in again -- which beats most of what's on now.
