That was courtesy of Marcus, who thought he wanted a stroke and a cuddle, but one of the stroking hands kept moving around this interesting black thing...

*coughs* *shuffles feet*

Er...I was wondering if you have the time to contribute an article on how to write well - there's more information right over here - for my 'zine? You're obviously a marvelous writer and I like the way you deconstruct things; I would be thrilled to have something by you. If you're interested, just comment, or, you know, if you happen to know anyone you think would do this well and enjoy it, let (s)he/them know. :)

Thank you so much for the compliment. Or plural, really, since just being asked is a compliment.

But (aside from being generally a bit burned out right now on that thing where you make coherent words come out of your keyboard, due to ats_nolimits) I don't really think I have much essay-writing ability in terms of general (non-fanfic) writing -- I don't have a lot of insight into good/bad writing in general. And even when I do write fannish essays, it's almost always in reaction to something -- deconstructing, as you mentioned, somebody else's argument or some other thing that annoys the piss out of me I have issues with.

I'd *strongly* point you towards zortified, though, who's an excellent essayist, wants to be a novelist, and I bet has plenty of things she could say about non fan-specific writing.

*g* Well, as an ats_nolimits fan, I heartily applaud where your efforts are going. Thanks for writing back so quickly, and I hope your work level goes down soon, for your own stress-lessing sake. :) And a double thanks for pointing me toward zortified! *runs to talk to her*

ps, the reactions are always marvelous reads, though. :D
