Dear pre-recorded campaign calls:
Hahahahahahahaha you can't get past Privacy Manager hahahahahahahahaha.

Now I remember why we invested in that. For my blood pressure.

I wish I had one. The calls have been ENDLESS!

We got it a couple of years ago (it's just a function that can be added to our local phone bill, afaik) to avoid the endless stream of advertisement calls we'd been getting, and every so often one of us points out that we could get rid of it considering how often we're online anyway, and teh calls would go to voicemail. Now I remember why it's a blessed thing thugh -- I don't have to *hear* a message from anybody too fucking lazy to get a live person to talk to me.

Well, I don't know that they are, per se, since the calls aren't getting all the way through -- I'm just getting a *lot* more 5-second contentless messages on the voicemail, in teh last couple of days, than we usually do.

Theoretically though, it could be non-presidential campaigning. The gubernatorial campaign (with a Dem incumbent filling in after the elected Dem governor died in office) is a lot more up in the air at this point.

Especially if your phone is unplugged.

I'm getting a lot of right wing spam and Kerry mocking spam. I joined John Kerry's official website months and months ago, and in the last few days, I've been getting weird Right Wing and blatantly white racist spam to my main email box.

Do you think some creeps hacked the main John Kerry.com list?

That so pisses me off, but it's so typical.

That's odd. I doubt anybody hacked a mailing list, but I totally wouldn't put it past people to crawl various websites where they might be able to find e-mail addresses posted publically. Or compile lists of LJ members to spam/campaign at, sending the mail to their @livejournal.com addresses.
