New (used) monitor: 40$
Chinese food for lunch: Yummy
Having to tell maeyan she was right and the flea market did have reasonably-priced computer parts that I didn't have to search all day for: Uh. :-P

Glad to hear you're back in the ranks of the monitor-having. :D

It makes it much easier to watch gay porn read the fascinating panoply of daily events that is my friendslist!

Drive by Feedback:

There are lines in Chocolatey Goodness which I still, after a half-dozen rereadings, cannot get through without breaking down in helpless laughter; there are points inthe story that get me as close to tearing up as anything ever does (I'm a hard nosed old crone).

In The Same Boat is one of the few cross-over fic I've ever read that's convincingly true to both fandoms.

Paving Stones is beyond a doubt my favorite Giles/Spike and favorite postGift fic.

You manage to make situations which are deeply not natural seem like something I might stumble across going on behind me on the bus.

Julia, thanks for your words.

If you ever stumble across Spike and Xander eating a banana split off Spike's arse at the back of your bus, please take pictures....

Thank you. You have no idea how much brighter this made my day. And I passed along your compliments on Paving Stones to wolfling

Well, not the doing of it so much, but given the conversation one afternoon about drugs of abuse and their effect on male sexual performance, carried on with great gusto and no thought for the audience on the back of the 48 bus into Downtown Olympia, it wouldn't surprise me to hear about it.

Julia, love how people tend to forget the public part of "public transportation"

Thank you! Given how little I manage to write these days, and how many people are writing great S/X stuff to read now, I'm happy people still think of my stories at all, much less with fondness!

Shiny monitors! Yay! (I desperately want a monitor with a higher resolution, but no, 1280x1024 is what I have. Damn you, Philips box! *beats it with a Kleenex*)

La la la la *pets her 800x600*

It's not that I *couldn't* put it at higher resolution; it's a larger monitor. I just like not having to squint and have headaches.
