full sekritshame: loves own fic!
Today I re-read the Wee!Tara and Wee!Willow Almost Get Kidnapped But Are Saved By Their Daddies and Baby Wesley's Parents Say They Don't Want Him But Gunn Does and Spike Thinks Anya And Xander Will Make Him Go Away When They Have Kids parts of Son of Small Fry, and Now I Am Filled With Sugar And Love and manicotti And Have No Room Inside Me For Anything Else.

Small Fry & Son of Small Fry were two of the first pieces of fan-fiction I ever read. They're still some of my favorites. Cute and funny and just wonderful!

I love the marriage license part bestest, I think. At least in Son of. I was gonna get Spike!angst in there if it killed us! Not that Baby Wes wasn't carrying the angst load just fine, but someone needed to pet Spike.

My favorite parts of both are:

Then Xander scrunched up his face. "Eew. OK, that just seems wrong."

Spike turned around. "What? Was I not in the right spot? Got a bad angle?" Four-year-old Spike wriggled his butt.

The picture of 4-yr-old Xander trying to cop a feel of Spike is so funny!

I also like the X/A/S thing in the second one, too.

Both are some of the best, most original stories I've read.

I should mention that we sort of nicked the de-aging idea (with permission) from a round-robin story that was happening on the nummytreats list at the time, so possibly less original than "We blathered on a lot, while the first fic never quite got finished." ;-)
