I should probably point out, because the link is buried down in my 'stuff wot I did this year' post, which most people quite rightly would be skipping, I imagine, that I've made the Chocolatey Goodness soundtrack post public, and updated the yousendit links; they should be good until Thursday or Friday. At which point I'll probably lock the post again, as I'm still a bit twitchy about having music links in a public post; OTOH, I can't wrap my mind around the idea of friending everybody who might possibly have an interest in it, and it didn't seem fair on reflection to only make it available to the relatively small friendslist I can handle maintaining!

so. Question: Are you going to finish Chocolatey Goodness? Or have I missed it. The last bit I read was where Spike pulled Xander out of that nightmare land that that Reina (not her actual name) demon kept him in. I loved this story so much, I hate to see it just floundering out there.

But you gotta do what ya gotta do I guess.

Thanks. That's the last bit there is as of now, except for a short future!fic here. The main story is still kind of indefinitely on hold; there might come a time when I can pick it up again without tying my brain up in knots, but I still don't know when/if.

A couple of folks have suggested it's stalled where it's stalled because emotionally the story is pretty much at its ending, but unfortunately I didn't manage to sync that up properly with the plotty parts, so there's threads dangling. Though it's not quite as emotionally resolved as I'd originally intended it to be, there's probably a lot of truth to that.

Gah! I'm gonna have to go back and reread it now! Also, how do you feel about fanfiction based on fanfiction? Nah, never mind! *eg*

2005-05-11 02:58 am (UTC) (Link)

Hee. I wouldn't mind. At least I don't think I would. I'd be pretty hypocritical to have issues with fanfic based on fanfic, I think.

LMAO!! true true! *chuckling*

pssst... rumor has it that is good for large numbers of downloads

NIF-ty! *adds to bookmarks* I'll use them when the yousendits run out. Thanks!

First I would never talk you out of more CG...There are too many important things I need to know... like if they stop for more pie on the way home.

But, as far as not friending everyone who has an interest... what about setting up a separate journal just for the CG soundtrack? Would that work?

2005-05-11 12:28 am (UTC) (Link)

Hmm. Maybe? It does sound like a good idea, though a) I don't know if there's even enough interest in it outside my friendslist for it to matter, and b) I'm not sure it wouldn't make me feel like an attention-whore, to have a "comment here if you want to be friended to get this thing" lj. I don't feel that way about other people's friends-only journals, when it's their whole journal, or when it's a community for fan soundtracks, but just for one soundtrack? I'm uncertain. I'll think about it though - thanks for the idea.

Yes, people should partake of that goodness. I have you to thank for the fantastic "Cigarettes & Chocolate" which, you know, **adores**.

Also? You are Teh Cutest Nerd Evah!

Though TBQ does the best dork-dancing.

Yiss. I... have no dance.

*watches TBQ dance*

Thank you thank you!

I am so glad you did post this. I Love CG so much!

I understand it's basically finished, but this is an added dimension that just makes it richer.

I'll be over there re-reading CG now. And listening to it's fabu soundtrack.

Thanks again, MP! You are awesome!

*smooch* :D I'd just been planning to do it forever, since even before I stopped writing it, really, and frankly it's a way to cheat and feel like I've done something more on the series even though really I haven't.

I loved the soundtrack BTW, and bought Mark Weigle and Dashboard Prophets - both good.

Wahoo, actual proof that sharing music encourages purchase of music! *dances*

2005-05-11 02:45 pm (UTC) (Link)

It absolutely does.
I heard of loads of great groups through the Dancing Lessons compilations and actually had just about stopped buying music until that got me started again.
