Hola
Despite complete nonworkingness of brain preventing doing anything actually productive, I need to remain conscious for the moment. Thus, lyrics game.

The rules for this variant (and basics of disclaimer) stolen from mogigraphia.

Rules

1. Put your playlist on shuffle.
2. Post the first lines to the first 25 songs to come up (along with these instructions).
3. Have people guess the songs and artists in comments to the post.
4. Post the answers to the ones people guessed correctly. A couple of days later, post the first two lines of the ones no one got and get people to guess again.
5. Repeat, adding the next line to the unguessed songs each time, until they're all guessed/you've posted the whole song/you've gotten bored/no-one's going to get the damn thing if you don't tell them.

I ignored: instrumental, spoken word, songs that are so obscure no one would have heard them, songs that contain the whole or large parts of the title in the first line, songs by an artist already listed, and songs I've used previously in this game.
I will accept: anybody who's actually recorded the song, for artist, since you're not (usually) going to be able to tell from the lyrics which version I have.

10. Somewhere In My Broken Heart...the singer's gonna depend. Randy Travis sang it on the No Holdin' Back album, but Billy Dean sang it, too (and I think wrote it). Can you tell I grew up in a house filled with Randy Travis albums?:)

15. Holding Her and Loving You by Earl Thomas Conley

20. Little Rock by Collin Raye

10 - Billy Dean wrote it (or co-wrote, rather), yeah. I have it on his Young Man album. Judges will accept either, though. :)

16. I have Clay Walker's cover, but I think ETC either wrote it, or at least put it out first.

20. Yup!

Hee. *cough* Do you know how I know you have an mp3 of that? Because I have the same one, with the artist typoed. It's actually Black Lab. (As in labrador retriever, I assume.) But yes!

o.O

How odd. I do have an mp3, but it was ripped myself from the album - looks like the album lookup feature has the typo - checking the back of the cd, yes, you're right. I've had that album ripped for years and never noticed!

Well, at least that will help me tell the difference between Lamb and Black Lamb when I'm trying to remember who sang what [g]

Ah, there it is. Oddly, it showed up in my inbox before LJ would consent to register that it was there when I refreshed the page.
