Some of it fits in with things Wolfling has been writing in Of Rain and Marshmallows, and that we've been talking about in the sequel to Company in Hell -- but it's also just a neat discussion of Giles' character and behaviour. (And so much less blood-pressure-raising than many of the discussions at TBC&S)
And for those who sent sympathies and offers of virtual chocolate and web services and other insane generosities, the car looks to be fixable, and the price quoted to us was for parts and labour. So it may just be swingable on this paycheck, if we pretend certain credit card companies don't exist... la la la.
Speaking of cars, what did Giles do with his mid-life-crisis mobile, after he went to England the first time? Spike (well, Randy) makes a crack about it in Tabula Rasa, but he's guessing, so we don't know if Giles had it in storage, or sold it. It's presumed he completely moved out of his flat, since he was staying in a hotel in OMWF, but what about his car, hmm? Inquiring minds want to know.
