Giles (Wolfling, take notice) and car stuff (mine, not Giles')
For Giles fans (Wolf, Kita, James...), there's a neat thread on his reasons for leaving, and reluctance to take responsibility for the Scooby Gang, here. It's at the Buffy Cross & Stake, and will eventually get recycled into the board archives and disappear after a while, but should be up for a day or so, at least.

Some of it fits in with things Wolfling has been writing in Of Rain and Marshmallows, and that we've been talking about in the sequel to Company in Hell -- but it's also just a neat discussion of Giles' character and behaviour. (And so much less blood-pressure-raising than many of the discussions at TBC&S)

And for those who sent sympathies and offers of virtual chocolate and web services and other insane generosities, the car looks to be fixable, and the price quoted to us was for parts and labour. So it may just be swingable on this paycheck, if we pretend certain credit card companies don't exist... la la la.

Speaking of cars, what did Giles do with his mid-life-crisis mobile, after he went to England the first time? Spike (well, Randy) makes a crack about it in Tabula Rasa, but he's guessing, so we don't know if Giles had it in storage, or sold it. It's presumed he completely moved out of his flat, since he was staying in a hotel in OMWF, but what about his car, hmm? Inquiring minds want to know.

"Speaking of cars, what did Giles do with his mid-life-crisis mobile?"

It's sitting desolately in the same abandoned lot where Spike's car ended up after "In the Dark." I mean, what the hell? The motorcycle's yummy and all, but I miss the DeSoto, dammit, with its blacked-out windows and sea of empty beer cans and liquor bottles in the back.

OOOH yummy! THanks babes. I think I may link to that one off of my Giles site. It needs an update. It needs SOMETHING. God, he's not even gone a whole season and noone writes Giles anymore. But people are still spewing out *Graham* slash for fucksake.

Ehm. Yes.

...the sequel to Company in Hell...

Trust me, I'm trying very, very hard to come up with more to say than "Woo hoo!" but it's just not working. I've already told you how much I loved this story, but it's definitely worth repeating. I *loved* this story. I really wish I was eloquent enough to explain exactly what I liked about the story, but my brain just turns to mush and I end up with: gorgeous men angsting and doing yummy things to each other. MORE!

Anyway, what I'm trying to say... I'm very much looking forward to the sequel...
