And I mean the Target novelizations from when I was 12-ish, not the New Adventures, which live on my living room shelf. Except I forgot that alongside the Target novelizations, a whole bunch of random crap from college, some Strawberry Shortcake miniatures, and Avon: A Terrible Novel, lay the half of my fanzine collection that I hadn't long ago packed up and brought back to my own house.

I have that Avon novel too. Somewhere... I also have the one that was done as a sequel to the series (was it called Afterlife???) which I remember actually liking when I was 14, but haven't read in years. (but the Avon one was indeed bad. And unrecognisable as the same universe as the series. and bad. meep.)

I've got Afterlife as well. I like it much better than the Avon novel. It's got some canon WTFery and it essentially feels like fanfic, but decent fanfic, you know?

I have to read it again. I spent ages trying to get hold of a copy and yet have still to re-read it because I loved it so much years ago and so many people have told me how much they hated it since!
