I heart Douglas. Of course, only two people in the world (who read this journal) will get *why* I heart Douglas. Douglas would get it but he's a hopeless programming geek and wouldn't touch an LJ for, you know, user purposes, if you paid him to. Plus, his wife is selling him on E-Bay, so he's too busy to worry about random friends two states away hearting him. BUt I heart him anyway.

Because he gave me the phrase "This is not a hill to die on."

Which is why I know when to shut my mouth and not get emotionally twisted over characterisation issues, for god's sake. Characterisation issues for characters who aren't even my woobies.

Look, it's me, not dying on this hill. Really.

Sheila P. (mimesere)ranted about Wes crying, which is all well and good, but it was "Shattered Image" that set off her rant, and I have issues with some of her issues. And with the bandwagon of "No, Wes must be grizzled and angry and bitter, no matter what" because it strikes me as something that people defend as true to his inner nature because it's hot and they want him to keep being that way, vs. because he could never react any other way.
