Allow me to be one of those people, for just a moment, who leave lj comments that create no opportunity for dialogue, but merely state the incredibly obvious. Ahem, here goes.
No, it's my tattoo (small of my back.) But yes, it was designed by a tattoo artist based on a (bad, kinda blurry) photo of Scully's tattoo. I am forever marked as an X-Files fan.
This photo of my tattoo is also kind of bad and blurry.
Do you think that if someone used my tattoo's pic to have their own tattoo drawn, and so and so on, eventually someone would have a tattoo of, say, an elephant? Kind of like that game "Telephone?"
Yes, she does/did have an ouroborous tattooed on her - somewhere. There doesn't seem to be consensus on where she had it put. (Is that a sentence?) It could be on her lower back somewhere, or on her ass. It was really hard to tell from the episode - she was bent forward and her shirt was lifted up, but you couldn't tell exactly where it was.
